“CUÉNTAME” MEJOR CANCIÓN LATINA 2009 JPF MUSIC AWARDS!
Formado en 2001 por los hermanos Pablo, Patricia y Jose M Mora, Lagarto Amarillo es un grupo madrileño que intenta escapar de todo convencionalismo, y en cuyos discos encontramos canciones que mezclan el pop-rock con ritmos latinos, reegae, folk o rap.
En el año 2003 los lagarto publican su primer disco, “Que la suerte te acompañe” con Universal Music Group producido por Fernando Illán. Con él, el grupo realizaría una gira por todo el país, consiguiendo un gran número de seguidores.
En 2007 presentan su segundo disco, “Distinto”, cuyo tema “Cuéntame” sería escogido para anunciar la popular serie de TVE “Cuéntame cómo pasó“. “Distinto” será producido por el propio Pablo Mora junto a Sergio Castillo, y publicado con un sello discográfico propio, Níquel Records. Este disco es galardonado, en el año 2009 con el JPF Music Award al mejor disco latino, así como a la mejor canción latina por “Cuéntame”. En estos premios, fueron también nominados a mejor canción latina por su canción “Tengo un amigo alemán”.
En el año 2010, tras recorrer España de concierto en concierto, Lagarto Amarillo publica una edición limitada y remasterizada de su primera maqueta, “Se hizo tarde”, que sería presentada en un encuentro con fans. Ese mismo año comienzan la gira “Los domingos por la tarde”, que servirá como anticipo de su nuevo trabajo.
En 2012 publican “Estoy mintiendo de verdad”, su tercer álbum, vio la luz el pasado 14 de febrero, entrando directamente en los primeros puestos de la lista oficial de venta de discos. Tras el primer sencillo y videoclip del disco, “Dejarse la piel”, que ha superado el millón de reproducciones en Youtube y se ha situado en el top las principales radios y televisiones musicales, presentan su nuevo single, “Culpable”, que promete convertirse en un hit. En marzo iniciaron con gran éxito una extensa gira de presentación en directo de su nuevo disco por todo el país, consiguiendo agotar entradas y completando grandes aforos en ciudades como Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla, Toledo,…

“CUÉNTAME” BEST LATIN SONG 2009, JPF MUSIC AWARDS!
Founded in 2001 by siblings Pablo, Patricia and Jose M Mora, Lagarto Amarillo is a Madrid based band that tries to escape from all conventions and whose songs blend Pop-Rock, Latin rhythms, folk and rap.
In 2003, Lagarto Amarillo released its first album, “Que la suerte te acompañe” -May the luck be with you- with Universal Music Group. Following the release, the band performed an all around Spain tour reaching a large number of fans.
In 2006 the group presented its second album, “Distinto” –Different-, from which the song “Cuéntame” -Tell Me- was chosen to announce the Spanish popular Soap Opera “Cuéntame qué pasó”. “Distinto” was produced by Pablo Mora and Sergio Castillo, and self-published under the group-owned label “Niquel Records”. This album was awarded the JPF Music Award for best Latin album and best Latin song for “Cuéntame” in 2009. In the same contest the song “Tengo un amigo alemán” –I’ve got a German friend- was also nominated for best Latin song.
In 2010, after touring Spain East to West and North to South, Lagarto Amarillo published a limited edition of a remastering of their first demo, “Se hizo tarde” –It became late-, presenting it at a meeting with fans. In the very same year the group began the tour “Los domingos por la tarde”, which will serve as an introduction to its forthcoming album.
“Estoy mintiendo de verdad” their third studio album, was released last February 14, 2012 by directly accessing the top of the official list of record sales. After the first single and video of the album, “Dejarse la piel”, which has over one million views on YouTube and has been at the top of the main radio and television music, presented their new single, “Culpable“, which promises to a hit. In March successfully initiated an extensive live tour to promote their new album across the country, getting exhaust tickets and completing large gaugings in cities like Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Toledo, …
